Your team knows what AI means for their time. Have you talked about it with them?
On Wednesday's show my co-host Nico Lafakis laid out the incentive chain for getting people to use AI: "If they use AI, they save time. If they save time, they can do more work. If they can do more work, they make you more money. If they make you more money, break 'em off a piece." His line: "What's the incentive? Create the carrot."
His read is that leaders know the outcome is time saved and are "embarrassed to talk about it," and that "employees can feel it." He'll have that conversation "all day long." His example: an employee who used to be paid straight hourly gets "hourly plus additional hours commission." And: "It's not difficult."
