Will you still reach for Claude once your own always-on AI assistant is in ChatGPT Plus?
On Tuesday's show my co-host Nico Lafakis made a prediction. When dots (OpenAI's always-on assistants inside ChatGPT) come to the Plus plan, the paid tier, he says "the game changes." He doesn't see Anthropic having the computing power to do what dots are doing, and he was careful about what that does and doesn't mean: "I'm not saying it's over for Claude at all."
His read is that it becomes "very, very, very clearly defined what you use one for and what you use the other for." And if you're a Claude user who builds a dot, he says you'll "get frustrated pretty quickly at going back to Claude. It's going to feel like taking a step backwards."
