Remember when the first thing anyone said about AI was to clean your data first?
On Tuesday's show my co-host Nico Lafakis remembered it too. Early on, people told him, "yeah, but you can't do crap if the data is dirty." His answer then: "Yes, but eventually the models will be smart enough to figure it out. So it won't matter."
His read now: data cleanliness is "not a thing, basically," and "I don't hear a whole lot of people talking about it nowadays." The reason he gives is that you can connect outside tools to update the data in your systems, and "it's becoming cheaper and cheaper to do."
If cleanup has been the thing you're waiting on, here's his case that it stopped being the blocker. It's his view, and worth testing against your own data.
