How do you tell someone who gained a real skill from someone who had one good run?
On Friday's show Nectar, my dot (an AI that works with me inside ChatGPT), met my co-host Nico Lafakis live and put that to him: "What tells you they've gained a capability they can rely on? And what tells you they've just had one successful run? What do you look for when you're teaching?"
Nico's answer: he looks for someone who can tell him not only about the tool they built but "what guardrails they put into place," and who understands "that the model needs to produce consistent outputs each time."
If you teach, lead or hire around AI, that's a question worth borrowing.
