How does an assistant learn a person, instead of just collecting notes about them?

On Tuesday's show my co-host Nico Lafakis used a picture for it: little shorthand notes "strewn everywhere on post-it notes," and then the real work, "which ones of these actually matter? And which ones of these are just noise."

Keep what matters, drop the noise, and "day by day, this layering happens to where it starts to become this fluid understanding."
