Does making a deck by hand count as a life skill?
Nico Lafakis told us about someone who said that if you use AI for decks, you're just phoning it in. His answer: "Does that really sound like a life skill?"
I think the better skill is the one underneath it: knowing what to ask for. On Wednesday’s show I showed the Road to UNBOUND page, which I got by asking for "a visually engaging page that looks like a road trip and uses all of our content." The ask I want you to practice: point AI at your own content and ask for a game or an experience.
In 58 seconds you get:
1. The ask I want you to practice, and why asking is the skill 2. Nico's question about what actually counts as a skill worth practicing 3. My line on what changes when you can create the thing yourself: "when you can create the thing, guess who doesn't need to be there in the next hour? You."
Nico raised the question, and I'm glad he did. Full episode: https://valuefirststudios.com/media/episode/vf-ai-daily-2026-09-30
