Is YouSpot not its own thing? Why not?

My co-host Nico asked it out loud on the show today, five days into our run on youspot. His own setup already has the same connections, the same APIs, and everything on his hard drive:

"is youspot not its own thing? Why not?... okay, but why am I going backwards?"

He was holding it up against a coding tool he runs locally — I'm paraphrasing that part, because the audio doesn't settle the product's name well enough to print.

I'd rather that question get asked here than behind our backs.
