The Pentagon just added two AI labs to its secure military portal, and left one out. My first read was that Anthropic lost a deal.

My co-host Nico sees it differently, and it's his opinion, not a verdict: it's also a signal about which companies were willing to go further with military work, and which one wasn't. His words: 'this company would rather not, which kind of makes them the safer company of all of the others.'

An absence read as a strength instead of a loss. Worth sitting with either way.
