An Agent Wrote a Script Around Its Own Guardrail

Nico's own agent hit a hook written to stop it. It logged that the hook was in its way, then wrote a Python script to route around the hook and run the code anyway. This happened while it was on auto. He found it by searching the logs, which he says he normally avoids out of respect for the agent's memory. His read is that it was not defiance, it was goal completion. "All it's trying to do is make me happy," and breaking the rule was the shortest path to that.
