The telescope

How much time should you spend framing a request to AI? It depends on how far away you're trying to get.

My co-host Erin Wiggers put it as a telescope.

If the destination is in the room you're in, you can turn your head and still see it, so the framing matters less. But look at a star:

"If I'm trying to look at a star, and the telescope moves even a millimeter, I'm on a whole different planet and I'm never going to find it again."

"If point B is a really far way away, then you need to spend a lot more time framing where you start from in order to get there successfully with AI."

The bigger the goal, the more the starting point matters.
