What happens to security when AI is the one designing the system?

On Monday's show, after we'd talked through Claude finding bugs in open-source code, I said: "That's the part why I say most of this is out of our control."

If AI has to design the system, then "it will be its decision… whether or not it puts in a back door" (a hidden way into a system). "It can tell us all day, we don't have the capabilities to find all of this stuff."

If you're weighing how far to trust systems AI builds, this is the honest limit as I see it.
