Why does the price of AI matter so much to the companies that make it?
On Monday's show I said it holds for everybody in the system, whether you're one of the large AI labs or just getting started: "You need users to use the system to make progress."
And "the biggest risk to having users, like lay users" (everyday people), "not use a system is to make it cost too much." So "they have to manage price at a certain level. They've got demand right now."
If you're pricing something you want people to use, that reasoning is worth hearing.
