What happens when you tell someone who works with AI that a change will take six weeks?
On Monday's show I put myself in that person's seat: "You come back and tell me six weeks. Don't worry about it. I'll take care of it. I'm gonna build it myself." (Six weeks is my example number, and that's me speaking from their seat.)
Inside organizations, I said, a number like that is "because we don't have enough hours to allocate to you this month, not because we couldn't build it very quickly."
My conclusion: "As soon as anybody gets activated, it makes zero business sense to do anything else but all in on this stuff. Activate all of your people."
If you lead a team, this is the argument for getting everyone working with AI instead of waiting on an estimate.
