She Wasn't AI-Enabled Two Weeks Ago. Activate All of Your People.
October 27, 2026
Two weeks is long enough for the person a project was scoped around to change.
On Monday's show I told what happened on a call that morning: the main contact said that when the scope was written, the person in charge of the process wasn't AI-enabled (couldn't yet work with AI). Now they are.
Here's what that does to a plan, in my words.
1. The usual agency answer: "It's still going to be this many hours. And if we hit any roadblocks, it's going to turn into this many hours."
2. What an AI-enabled owner does with "six weeks": "Don't worry about it. I'll take care of it. I'm gonna build it myself." (Six weeks is my example, and that's me speaking from their seat.)
3. My conclusion: "As soon as anybody gets activated, it makes zero business sense to do anything else but all in on this stuff. Activate all of your people."
If you scope, estimate or buy work for a living, it's a short watch on why the old answer may not hold.
