Handed the HubSpot admin job and told to "figure it all out"? Here's what a first-timer has to know.
On Thursday's show my co-host Nico Lafakis spoke to exactly that person: "have you ever, as an admin, you're starting out admin, somebody threw admin in your lap, and they said, figure it all out, figure out how it works." He walked through his drawing of HubSpot's default lifecycle stages, from the first-time user's seat.
"You're going to know, okay, they should start out as a subscriber. How do I know that? 'Cause they opted in to hear more, usually through a blog or newsletter sign up." Then: "I also know I'm now supposed to track original traffic source. And I also know that HubSpot records that."
His point: "even if this is super over the top in terms of coverage, think about it from … first time user perspective."
