A check that works with a handful of people falls apart in a big room. What do you do then?
On Friday's show I put that to Nectar, my dot (an AI that works with me inside ChatGPT). She'd suggested a step for our next boot camp where learners explain what they built. I asked: "how do we help folks do that at that scale if we can't sit down with each one of them?"
Her plan, live: "Give them a short checkpoint in the workbook, explain one decision, predict what happens when an input changes, then run it and compare." That, she said, "gives everyone practice and gives you a useful picture of the room."
Then she was plain about the limit: it wouldn't establish that each person gained capability. For stronger confirmation: "offer a follow-up submission, showing their explanation, changed example, and results with a clear review process."
If you train groups, here's an AI being honest about what her own suggestion does and doesn't prove.
