Your job description did not change on paper. It changed anyway — you are expected to manage AI now, whether anyone told you or not.

Here is how I put it on the show today:

"You're not just a marketer anymore. Like, you got to manage AI whether you want to or not, right."

I have been the person this happens to. In 2016 a down year sent me looking for marketing automation, and I went through Salesforce and a hard Marketo implementation before landing on HubSpot in 2017. What stuck with me is that the tool never fails on features — it fails when it does not match how people actually work.

Which is why it matters that software is starting to show up as something you talk to instead of something you configure. The people who were never good at software finally get a way in.
