When someone builds a tool you love, the most useful thing you can tell them about price isn't a number. It's what the price has to protect.
The maker asked what youspot should cost. The answer that went back, quoted on the show today:
"when he asked how much it should cost, my comment was whatever it needs to, to keep this the most magical experience thing happening."
Cover your costs, in other words.
Then the honest footnote: "$10 wasn't an option by the way." The number suggested at the time was five, and even that came with an "I think".
