Conceding a point on camera, in real time, is harder than it sounds — most people spin instead.

Nico was right, and I said so on air in the same breath:

"...that would have been a fine answer. Like, I would have been happier with that answer too. Like this at least suggests there's personality possible here."

That's the hedge I try to hold in real time when I'm testing something new — not oversold, not dismissed either.
