The objection Chris hears in boardrooms is that if a chatbot has to announce itself, people will know what they are talking to and refuse to engage. He does not think the label is what stops them. The ones that fail are the ones built to pass as human, and in his experience those fail every time, disclosed or not. Which means a disclosure requirement costs nothing that was working in the first place.
