Every field you add to your CRM is one more thing somebody has to maintain, and not all outside data belongs there.
Jasmine Sarkhazi of HubSpot, who works on Data Studio, shared her rule of thumb. If the data fits your CRM data model, sync it. If it doesn't, or it's one-time data like attendee interest from an event, keep it in Data Studio and use it in automation, segmentation or reports.
You don't want a pile of properties you've each used once, because "someone has to go and clean it up." Her summary: "a little bit of data hygiene, a little bit of what use case you have."
Just over two minutes on whether your data belongs in the CRM.
