How do you tell whether something in HubSpot is an object or an event?
Maggie Philbin of HubSpot has a rule of thumb: "Anytime you hear a verb is usually what I say. You're probably looking at something that's stored as event data in HubSpot." Objects hold the current state and are meant to change.
Events record moments in time, like a form submission, an email open or a page view. She also explains why marketing events, which are an object, trip people up.
A little over three minutes on telling the two apart.
