App events or custom events? One question decides it: are you building something to publish to many customers, or something just for your own business?

Maggie Philbin of HubSpot said app events are for partners sending data into their customers' HubSpot accounts. Custom events are for your own apps, website and systems: "Custom events is supposed to be unique to your individual business."
