It is not a mistake if you learn from it

I try to teach my kids that it's not a mistake if you learn from it, it's a lesson. My oldest really doesn't want to make mistakes, and I tell her: you're going to make them. But it's a lesson if you learn from it. So let's talk through what you learned.

I make mistakes every day, and it's hard. Fail fast is tough advice to hear because no one wants to fail. But I think it's taking that and asking what you learned from it, and how you can apply it.
