A public API for pipeline rules, and why it cuts both ways

Pipeline rules get a public API - stage-based edit restrictions, creation limits, backward movement, stage skipping, deal approval. The worry is what it makes easy: backfilling stages a person never actually moved through so reporting looks right. "Well, even though the human didn't take that journey, I need reporting to work." The other read is that guardrails protect the humans on both sides - and still, "so many people are managing HubSpot from outside of HubSpot. I'm one of those people."
