Start with the outcome and work backwards

Instead of starting with what comes in, start with what you need to come out.
My co-host Erin Wiggers on how she maps a process, in Part 5 of 5 of our AI Readiness conversation:
"don't start with the input, start with the outcome and then work backwards from there."
Her questions along the way: what she needs to know to get that outcome, how she gets that information, and at what point in the process it becomes available.
Why it works, as she put it:
"a lot of the times the processes that we have… were born out of constraints that maybe no longer exist."
Pick one process and write down the outcome first.
