Why automating everything is a terrible idea

You hate your spreadsheets, you buy HubSpot, and you want everything automated right away.
In Part 4 of 5 of our AI Readiness conversation, I said it's not that hard to get people to understand why that's a terrible idea:
"if you automate right away, get ready to change that automation like 50 times."
Where that comes from, as I put it:
"you either didn't have a process or your process was based on things like having to pass a spreadsheet around, which inherently make it not a great process."
Before you automate a step, ask whether the process underneath it is one you'd keep.
