Time to done, and are you ready for Breeze to say no?
October 28, 2026
You can finish a project on time and still not have gotten any value from it.
In Part 4 of 5 of our AI Readiness conversation, I said:
"the entire business world is built to measure time to done."
The healthiest organizations, I said, measure time to value instead.
Picture a migration with a 90-day window. The work is done, it doesn't do what the team needed, and people come back for help. In my words:
"help us get more value out of HubSpot. That's so often why people show up and ask for help."
On the AI side, I said I think that kind of coaching is coming soon: Breeze, HubSpot's AI, asking whether something like enriching 1,000 contacts is on a valuable path when nobody has said why. The question for the humans:
"Are you ready to accept Breeze to say, no, that's not a good idea?"
Before you set a deadline, say what value should exist when you get there.
