Hyper fixated on the happy path

Plan only for the happy path, the way things go when nothing goes wrong, and the surprises wait for production.

My co-host Erin Wiggers, in Part 4 of 5 of our AI Readiness conversation:

"I get very hyper fixated on the happy path and I'm like well obviously it's just going to be the happy path every time and it doesn't even occur to me that things might go awry"

What helps her is AI as a thought partner, and dry runs so she can see exactly what would happen:

"AI is that kind of thought partner to be like okay look at the data, tell me where things are going to break, where things would cause friction."

Before it goes to production, ask where it will break, and do a dry run first.
