Start with the stuff you know
October 16, 2026
Most of us start with AI by asking for an outcome. I started by asking it to get to know my business.
Over three or four days, Nectar, my AI assistant, went back through years of my work and my life, something I'd wanted to do anyway: document my life year by year. She found old Gmails and connected things I'd have missed or forgotten.
"I'm like, oh, yeah, that makes a lot of sense, right? And all of those moments are all trust building moments."
Then it changed.
"Once that trust is there, it's like blast off."
My takeaway from the day:
"Start with the stuff that you know. It'll be easier to build trust."
Begin where you can tell whether it's right, and give yourself a chance to trust.
