Writing for the AI on the other side, and the client who did it herself
October 7, 2026
Is it worth writing your documentation for the AI on the other side of it?
On the show I asked my co-host Erin Wiggers, because more and more, the person you hand a document to hands it straight to their own AI.
"So the difference between [Erin] creating specific documentation, and sending a HubSpot knowledge base article that then the person on the other side is going to give to their AI. Night and day difference."
Erin shared a recent example. She delivered a website with a complex HubDB setup (HubSpot's built-in data tables). Her client, not a HubSpot expert, made all the updates herself.
"I uploaded your documentation and all of the HubDB table CSVs and told it what I needed. And it was able to figure it out."
Erin's takeaway: write in layers.
"You need to give enough context that the AI can help facilitate that conversation."
A quick reference for the human, and enough context for the AI to carry the rest.
