Ask most people what an AI leader actually does day to day, and you'll get a vague answer about tools.

My co-host Erin Wiggers gave the clearest definition of the role I've heard.

"And I see it as my role to reduce the friction of that decision in all directions. So to the team, to leadership, to our clients, to how we're interacting with each other, how we're how we're interacting with AI and what our expectations are of AI."

"In all directions" is the part worth sitting with — this isn't a consulting engagement or a single project. It's every relationship at once.
