If it already knows who you are, don't ask: the customer agent and the visitor's verified email

If someone is already logged in, why would a customer agent ask them for their email? HubSpot's update says the customer agent can now use the visitor's verified email when it takes actions for them.

The example that clicked for me was Amazon: "We don't have to give those details. Like it knows us." Madelyn asked whether this sounded like something that should already have happened. Casey's counterpoint was fair: on forms she still likes a confirm-email field, because sometimes the address on file is wrong.

My take is that a logged-in portal and a cookie are not the same thing, and "one's more fragile than the other." Decide which one you want your agent to trust.
