If you have ever synced an owner between HubSpot and Dynamics, you know why it is harder than it looks. Joshua Oakes explained the HubSpot side: "I don't know if this is technically accurate, but functionally it behaves like an array in HubSpot, where it has the ID, it has the email, it has the name when you reference it." And Dynamics? "I don't know, Lord knows how it works in Dynamics."
The result was a lot of manual matching: "we have to write that ID out and then we have to have a match that pulls the ID and then writes it to the other side. And then it was like, oh, this person changed teams or whatever… having a Dynamics shop maintain that constantly."
