Five video updates in a row, and the real question is who owns the tool

HubSpot shipped a cluster of video updates, and the one I keep coming back to is who gets to own the tool.

Five in one run: create a video from scratch in the video library, thumbnail editing with a scrubber so you can pick any frame, AI-suggested clips and posts from the social composer, video recording inside CRM email, help desk and conversations, and redesigned share pages for viewers.

Zach Hussion expected the recording to work like a mix of Vidyard for personalized prospecting video and Loom for walking a client through a process. My answer to where it all goes: "digital asset management is happening in HubSpot."

Then there's budget. Sales might love the tool they have, and "the unified context mission is what should be driving those conversations." Zach pays for Loom licensing for the team and asked himself the honest question: "Do we use them every single day? No."

If you pay for a point tool today, add up what it costs and who actually uses it before you decide.
