Sentiment analysis across a segment: who checks the read, and what to keep out of it

Some of your most useful signals are already sitting in your calls, emails and notes. Segment sentiment analysis is HubSpot's way of pulling them out across a whole segment.
Casey Hawkins picked this one, and her example was the update's own: contacts in an open deal, "a good worthwhile segment." Per the update, it surfaces things like competitor mentions, pricing objections and budget signals, with the snippet that triggered each one. Only records with calls, emails or notes get analyzed, up to fifty of each type. Casey's reaction: "I would hope it's the most recent fifty." The update doesn't say that.
Reports also don't update on their own. So where does the human belong? "having the human here to say that we need to regenerate this, this is not accurate data… is now crucial."
Zach Hussion already runs a small version of this. His meeting note taker has an automation after each call: "I have an automation that runs after each call that does some sentiment analysis just for that one call." It's "not necessarily fed into HubSpot today."
And one caution from a client example: transactional emails "should not impact sentiment analysis at all."
