Acknowledge fast, then solve: the two things you want from support

When you ask for support, you want two things. "Acknowledgement that you got the request." And then you want it solved.

A customer agent "can be faster, quicker, more agile than anybody on any team to acknowledge that request." If acknowledging is all it does before it hands off, you can still set the expectation for what customers use that channel for.

That's one more expectation you set for clarity, "so that we don't have to worry about responses coming in and worrying that we're missing them, or they're not getting back fast enough."

Start with the expectation, then design the handoff.
