I only know what the word dunning means because of an agent team I set up.
When we took over Hubsessed, I had my agents monitor it all day, looking at Beehiiv and Stripe. They would catch a failed payment and tell me the dunning link was still out. I didn't know it was a special kind of link. To me it was just the link they use to update the payment.
What I learned is that the process has to run. You retry three times, and if the third time still gets nothing, then you can start to address it.
HubSpot just made that link available before a payment fails. I want to see if that lets us catch it on the first try, or before.
