You can't hack your way into being a trusted brand in the training data

When AI answers from what it already learned instead of searching, there is no button that gets your brand into the answer.

Here's how I put it on the show: "It takes so much work to become a trusted brand for it to default against the training data." That's the material the AI learned from before anyone asked it a question.

The upside is real: once you understand it, you'll be able to use HubSpot's AEO tool in lots of great ways. "Just don't start creating articles yet… based on the button that says, do you want to create an article?"
