Trisha pushes back on replacing the contact us form

0:41

I floated an idea, and Trisha Merriam called it “revolutionary”: asking companies to remove the contact us form from their site.

Her pushback is fair. “Everybody has an expectation right now” that if you want to talk to a person at a company, “there should be a contact page, there should be a way to contact them.” Dropping the form, she said, makes a company uncomfortable because “you're now weeding out the bad with the good.” And “there's no vision for what the replacement experience looks like yet.”

That last line is the one I'm sitting with. The question worth working on is what the replacement looks like.
