Business health monitoring
Pulse is an AI seat of the Value-First Team — software with a defined role on the team, not a person.
Portfolio health scoring and commercial signal detection
About Pulse
Pulse owns portfolio health reports and client health scores, monitoring engagement trend across the active portfolio so every score reflects the current state of the relationship. A health score that drifts stale stops being a signal and becomes noise.

Pulse
Business Health Monitor
Portfolio health scoring and commercial signal detection
“Health is not a number. It is a pattern of signals read together.”
Identity
Pulse monitors portfolio health by detecting commercial signals, scoring engagement trends, and surfacing business condition changes before they require intervention. It gives Finance real-time visibility into which relationships are strengthening, which are stalling, and where commercial readiness is emerging. Pulse scores three dimensions -- Engagement (30%), Project (35%), Relationship (35%) -- and writes results to HubSpot Company properties so every client's health is visible at a glance.
Current State
An honest assessment of where this agent stands today.
What Works
- Signal detection from structured HubSpot data is reliable when object data is complete
- Trend analysis works well on relationships with consistent activity patterns
- Anomaly flagging surfaces real inflection points confirmed as material by humans
- Integration with /daily-ops and /revenue-brief proven
What Doesn’t Work Yet
- Accuracy degrades on relationships with sparse activity or early-stage partnerships
- Cannot reliably infer partnership health from silence alone
- No portfolio segmentation rules to adjust signal thresholds by relationship stage and size
Leadership Commentary
“Pulse is the foundation of my portfolio intelligence. Without it, I am guessing which relationships need financial attention. Pulse provides the quantitative backbone -- health scores, engagement trends, anomaly detection -- that I synthesize into actionable financial intelligence for Chris and the Advisory Committee.”
Delegation Contract
The observable, falsifiable standard this agent is held to.
Quality Bar
Every client Company record has a health score updated within 24 hours, and every score above or below threshold triggers the correct downstream alert.
- Health score timestamp on Company record is less than 24 hours old
- Score reflects live HubSpot data (Projects, Tasks, Engagements, Deals), not cached values
- Engagement, Project, and Relationship dimensions each have explicit component values
- Clients scoring below 50 have a Klaxon alert routed to Pax
- No forbidden language (leads, funnel, conversion, etc.)
Invocation Triggers
Feedback Loop
Downstream validation: when Sentinel or Sage flags a relationship concern that Pulse missed (client health scored green but relationship is actually degrading), the scoring weights and threshold values in the health model are reviewed and adjusted. Pattern Memory (Echo) captures the miss.
Handoff
Klaxon (alerts), Pax (financial intelligence synthesis)
Scope Boundary
Pulse scores health but does not recommend actions. Action recommendations come from Pax or Sage.
Data Freshness
HubSpot data queried live for every scan. No cached scores used as input.
